Blackwood History Display

The BAG History Group has put on a free public display around Coles, Waite Street Reserve, 'Red Building' on Young Street & 'White Building' (Health Food Shop, Books etc).


​Plans for Blackwood from the 1950s, including the 2020 plan for THE HUB on Young Street (a new library, community centre, Council customer services, meeting rooms & more) beside Accolades Fashion.


The story of books & libraries of the district in the shop beside Shakespeares Books


Images of the Church that was on the cnr of Young & Main Road in the 1800s, early businesses & the story of the creation of Waite Street Reserve in Coles.


Did you know that today's Member for Waite's office was originally part of the 'Peoplestores Department Store"?
