Blackwood Christmas Tree Festival 2021
Christmas Tree Festival / History
The Blackwood Christmas Tree Festival was held for over 20 years from the 1960s to 1980s. Blackwood Action Group has been running the event since 2016, with proceeds going towards local charities. Since 2016, over $15,000 has been raised, with funds going to BEACON, KI Bushfire Appeal, Star Bears and Minton Farm.
2021 Festival Information
Come along and see over 50 trees on display at the 2021 Blackwood Christmas Tree Festival. All the trees have been done by local community groups and businesses.
Santa will be there in amongst the Christmas tree wonderland created by the community. Come shopping at Santa’s store for gorgeous handcrafted gifts, Christmas decorations, stockings, vine trees and wreathes; buy a second hand bike or enjoy Devonshire tea. Children and carers can participate in craft activities.
Event proceeds will support two very valuable charities, BEACON, an emergency relief service offered by Mitcham Hills Inter-church Council Inc that supports struggling Mitcham Hills families, and also Treasure Boxes, an Edwardstown not-for-profit organisation that provides vital essentials to babies, children and teens living in disadvantage in our community. It would be lovely if you could bring an unwrapped gift or food for a Christmas hamper to put under the Giving Tree to help support these families. Our theme this year is GRATITUDE.
